Schwarz Forensic Enterprises (SFE) is a full service forensics consulting company that can bring a range of subject matter expertise to your law enforcement or corporate security needs. SFE has a network of qualified, certified experts and examiners who can respond to and process crime scenes, advise on laboratory design of new facilities and to include structural, work-flow, equipment/implementation, or process improvements of existing laboratories. We will assess and evaluate your current needs and provide customized training to your employees to address them. Our SME can provide on- or offsite assistance in reducing your latent print, DNA and drug toxicology backlog, conduct validation or performance checks on new procedures or equipment, and help you to design and execute research projects. In addition, SFE has recently added expert scientific writing and editing services on a range of topics for deliverables including but not limited to grant applications, journal articles, white papers, PowerPoint presentations, and technical manuals or reports.

Schwarz Forensic Enterprises (SFE) provides premier forensic consulting, assessment, training and laboratory support using our SFE Customized Forensic Solution Process (CFSP) supported by internationally-known subject matter experts. Our CFSP allows us to work with you to identify your needs and to design training and solutions to address them. Because our process is customized, we have the flexibility to:

  • Offer services onsite or offsite
  • Assemble a specific team of Subject Matter Experts (SME) uniquely suited to meet your needs
  • Provide cost-effective solutions that do not require additional staff to be hired or existing staff to spend prolonged periods of time away from more pressing responsibilities; for example, placing SMEs in laboratories to reduce the backlog is often more cost-effective than adding additional responsibilities to current workers or to hiring new ones, and since the SME is dedicated only to a specific task (eg, backlog reduction), the solution is achieved more quickly
  • Facilitate partnerships with vendors to address technological needs or updates
  • Design customized training that focuses only on your specific needs, based on adult learning principles, and delivered through a variety of platforms of your choosing (eg, written, eLearning, instructor-led) to maximize efficiency and allow opportunities for review, remediation or certification
  • Address specific challenges or changes that occur during the CFSP (ie, because everything is individualized, we can “course correct” if necessary during the development of your solution)

Our Process is designed to begin with the end in mind; that is, to design each step in a tailored and streamlined fashion that will best and most efficiently meet your specific needs.

Our CFSP is described in more detail below. Check out our Other Services to see additional ways in which we can help your laboratory to meet or exceed your goals.

  • SFE and laboratory managment will meet to identify current goals and concerns
  • Goals might include backlog reduction, laboratory redesign, streamlinging workflow, training, accreditation, etc.
  • SFE SMEs will review current SOPs to identify strengths and weaknesses relative to laboratory goals and ISO standards
  • SFE SME can also help to develop SOPs for new technology or processes
  • SFE SMEs will identify gaps and needs that must be addressed in order to meet laboratory goals
  • SFE will discuss gaps and needs with management and prioritize them in terms of developing and implementing solutions
  • SFE will develop written procedural recommendations for remediating laboratory gaps and needs, new technology, etc.
  • SFE will develop customized, competency-based training for new SOPs and/or equipment
  • SFE will help you to support your business case for change
  • SFE training experts will work with SME to develop training tailored to your needs
  • Training can be provided on- or offsite and in a variety of platforms (eg, print, instructor-led, e-learning, etc) to save you time and money
